On the off chance you haven't had enough, check out this video of a large yawl in a bit o' a seaway. We sail to New Zealand all the time. Sometimes it get rough there. Some people don't believe this. Here's a nice North island ferry to ride. I thought a ship's windshield was really strong but I guess I was wrong.  Even a calm day and flat water isn't safe. Nor are cute tugs.
